We recommend waiting at least four weeks before scheduling your return appointment. Your skin goes through a natural rejuvenation cycle, and delicate little hairs never stop growing. Although it’s an unpleasant fact that dead skin cells continue to build over time, it is a sign your epidermis is healthy.
Even though it seems similar to shaving done at home, Dermaplaning is very different. It doesn’t just remove hair, but it also exfoliates the skin with a surgical scalpel. This is something that is not safe to do without a highly trained professional. And unlike shaving, which can be done all over the body, Dermaplaning is a facial-only procedure.
This non-invasive treatment does not impact your hair follicles or the rate at which they will grow back. It is not possible for light and thin vellus hair to grow any thicker or darker than it always did. Although it may feel a bit different once the hairs begin to return, you don’t have to worry about “stubble.”
