Announcement: New Home, New Services!

Happy New Year!

As I reflect on the past year and on the past 15 years that Heim Regenerative Medicine has been open, I can’t help pondering how the clinic has evolved over that time. From that 1000 square foot office on Macdill with a single employee to the bungalow on Azeele to our current office with 6 employees, the last 15 years has been a journey of growth and evolution of not only the practice but for me personally and professionally.

A business that was born out of my goal of providing a different kind of medicine that reflects my deepest passions. Health, fitness, personal growth, nutrition, and challenging the traditional boundaries of medicine, health, and the individual. When I opened the practice, there was no such thing as an influencer. Facebook was in its infancy and Uber did not exist. Now there are a million influencers for every aspect of health and longevity ranging from uneducated but influential characters to physicians and PhDs with a knack for marketing, all of whom are supremely confident that their way is the right way to cure all of what ails you. What I see in common with the vast majority of them is that they are solely focused on selling you the one secret they have discovered that has made their life the model of perfection of health and vitality – AI and screen filters aside. In Truth, there is no one size fits all to optimizing health and longevity and that is the approach we have always taken in our clinic.

If you’ve been in the office recently you’ve likely heard me talk about the latest longevity research that strongly supports being in the best shape that you can be as the single most important factor in longevity. For example, if you just look at leg strength independently of any other factor, the stronger your legs are, the longer you are expected to live. This is one example of many in the literature supporting hard work as a path to longevity. I love this research to my core. As a life long triathlete and fitness addict, I love that in a world of quick fix remedies by influencers and companies trying to sell you a miracle pill, science still tells us that there are no shortcuts. It tells us that hard work and consistency of good habits trumps all else. Essentially, “no one cares, work harder.”

The core of my medical practice has always been to teach and guide on foundational principles first: sleep, fitness, and nutrition. Work hard and be consistent in these core tenets, and most of what ails you will improve. From there we fill in the blanks on an individual basis, what we like to describe as fixing the things that are broken first. Much of this is low hanging fruit such as nutritional deficiencies and decline of hormones, for instance. Sprinkle in working on yourself in whatever ways are needed such as spirituality, mindfulness, purpose, and community, and you are addressing most of the things we as humans need to live vital and healthy lives.

As the practice has grown and evolved we have incorporated more ways to achieve these goals and today I’d like to announce that we are going to take another big step forward in the evolution of the practice. I have recently partnered with a couple of visionary investors to purchase a building as well as equipment to expand our services to offer what will be a medical practice like no other. It will still be a cutting edge regenerative medicine practice offering the full suite of services and products that we do currently, but will also include a space that will foster restoration, not only restoration of your body, but also of your mind and soul. Services that will challenge you mentally and physically to help build resilience and naturally improve mood, sleep and well being. A place where like-minded people can connect with a common purpose. Wellness of mind and body.

Something I realized while contemplating the past 15 years of practice and life is that what I am going through is what everyone is going through. Much of what I offer in my practice are things I have learned and sought out in order to improve my own life. Our new space is the next evolution of those things I have spent years researching and trying myself.

Our outdoor space will include state of the art saunas and cold plunge facilities that will offer instructor-led classes as well as the ability to walk in and use the equipment on your own. if desired. If you love the benefits of cold exposure but don’t have time or the desire for water immersion, we will offer the most technologically advanced cryo room for a quick 3 minute, full body cold exposure that brings most of the benefits of cold water immersion without the hassle of needing to shower and change clothes. We will be expanding our IV therapy space and adding more staff to accommodate higher volume, as well as offering additional cutting edge IVs such as NAD+ and chelation treatments. Other services will include compression therapy, an expanded supplement line, PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic frequency) treatment and red and UV light therapy, as well as an expanded aesthetics menu and stem cell treatments.

In short, think of us as your one stop shop for health and longevity, repair and recovery in a venue that fosters community and connection. We can’t wait to unveil our new space and look forward to serving you in new and exciting ways!

Until next time, Stay Healthy and Live Well….
